Anita Ross, 86, of Charleston, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Fort Smith. She was born February 8, 1933 in Altus, Arkansas the daughter of the late Joe and Mary (Petty) Page. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Order of Easter Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 65 years, George Ross; 12 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include daughter, Paula Chitwood of Pocola, Oklahoma; two sons, Colonel Retired Mike Ross and wife Debbie of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Mark Ross and wife Angela of Fort Smith, Arkansas; grandchildren, Bill Ross and wife Marsha of Charleston, Arkansas, Cassie Lairamore and husband Matt of Pocola, Oklahoma, Tamara Ross and husband Manuel of Omaha, Nebraska, Gina Nauert and husband Steve of Rockwall, Texas, Christopher LaMadline and wife Heidi of Danielson, CT, T.J. Fox of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Josh Fox and wife Jessica of Seattle, Washington; and seventeen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Smith Mortuary Charleston, Arkansas with interment at Garden of Memories, Charleston, Arkansas. Bro. Jeff Holland will officiate.
Family will receive friends 1:00 P.M. Saturday Prior to service at Smith Mortuary, Charleston, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Mike Ross, Mark Ross, Bill Ross, Braden Ross. Matt Lairamore and Manuel Wheeler.
