Voil Victor Rippy

July 11, 1917 ~ February 9, 2018 (age 100)

Voil V. Rippy, 100, of Charleston, AR, passed away February 9, 2018.
He was born July 11, 1917, in the Marietta Community to the late Luther and Myrtle (Newhart) Rippy. He was preceded in death by his wife Carmon Rippy and one son Darrell Rippy.
He was a farmer during the Depression and later worked at Ballman Cummings Furniture and Rheem Manufacturing in Fort Smith. He was a Sunday School teacher, deacon, and member of hospitality group at First Baptist Church in Charleston. He enjoyed attending Charleston Senior Citizen Center.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Smith Mortuary Chapel will burial following in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Charleston, AR.
Left to cherish his memory is one son Rondal Rippy and wife Sharon of Ozark, grandchildren/great grandchildren, Allyson Campbell, husband Noah and sons Leo and Felix of Memphis; Mark Rippy, wife Kelli, sons Thomas and Luke, daughter Evelynn to be born imminently of Mulberry; Timothy Rippy, wife Heidi, daughter Sophie, and son Silas of Siloam Springs.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018, from 10AM until service time at Smith Mortuary in Charleston, AR.
