Obituary

Carl Lee Sexton, 78, of Barling, Arkansas, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 9th, 2020, in Fort Smith. He was born March 23rd, 1942 in Mt. Judea, Arkansas the son of the late Homer Lee Sexton and Gladys Holt Sparks. He was a retired employee of Rheem and a member of First Southern Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary; daughter, Florene Brown and husband Scott; two sons, Teddy and Tony Sexton; sisters, Gloria Lackey and husband Jimmy, Shirley Porter and husband Greg, Beverly Berry and husband Johnny, Linda Wood, Thelma Atkins, Brenda Edwards and Ronda Sparks, Jimmie Peters; brothers; Leon Sexton and wife Ruth, Darrell Sexton and wife Stacy and Troy Sparks; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2020 at Smith Mortuary Chapel with interment at Morris Cemetery. Family will receive friends, Sunday, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Smith Mortuary.
