Daniel “Basher” Carl Smith II, 32, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, entered into rest February, 26, 2021. He was born May 15, 1988 in Fort Smith.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Daniel Carl Smith.
Left to cherish his memory are his partner of almost 10 years, Carrie Miller; their beautiful “Baby Girl” Jordan; and his buddy, Landon Miller, who was like a son to him; his mother, Melody Alexander of Houlton, Maine; sister, Heather Smith, of Dallas, Texas; grandfather, Berle Maxey of Hartford, Arkansas; grandmother, Kathleen “Kathi” Maxey of Bradenton; Florida, 4 nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and an abundance of friends who were like family.
He worked full time as a Warehouse Supervisor at Sigma Supply of North America and on the weekends at Lost Beach.
Daniel was a beautiful soul and a bright light in this world. He loved those closest to him fiercely and with an unwavering loyalty. His daughter, his “Baby Girl”, was his absolute world. He often said that she was the best thing and his biggest accomplishment in the world. Everyone who knew him, knew him for his beautiful singing voice, his infectious laugh, his kindness, his off-color but always hilarious sense of humor, and his love for both of his kids.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2:00p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Fort Smith. Due to capacity restrictions, this will be limited to close family and friends. The service will be Live Streamed on the Wesley United Methodist Church Facebook page for those unable to attend. Celebration of Basher Bash will be held at Lost Beach that night.
Cremation is under the direction of Smith Mortuary in Charleston, Arkansas.
