Obituary

Joy Brown, 82, of Charleston, Arkansas, entered into rest on Friday, January 15, 2021 in Paris, Arkansas.  She was born July 26, 1938 in Sanco Texas the daughter of the late Earnest and Nettie (Montgomery) Adkins.  She was a member of Charleston First Baptist. Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Gene; son, Charles and wife Susan of Little Rock; daughter, Sheryl Ficke and husband (Bruce) of Dallas, TX; sister, Virgina Ryback and husband (Wayne) of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Smith Mortuary, Charleston, Arkansas with interment at Lowes Creek Cemetery.   Pallbearers will be Chris Brown, Erin Adams, Charles Brown, Wayne Ryback, Haskell Casalman and Jimmy Robertson. Family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2021at Smith Mortuary, Charleston.  Memorials may be made to Charleston First Baptist Church Building Fund.  Arrangements under direction of Smith Mortuary, Charleston, Arkansas.
