Obituary

Joy M. Hobbs, 91, of Lavaca, Arkansas entered into rest on Monday, January 4, 2021 in Fort Smith.  She was born May 28, 1929 at Arbuckle Island the daughter of the late John and Victoria Douglas.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Cotton Hobbs and baby daughter ; Francis Hobbs.  Survivors include daughter, Vicky Friddle of Lavaca; grandsons, David Friddle of Lavaca, Arkansas and Matt Friddle (Amy) of Bentonville, Arkansas, great grandchildren, Carlos Friddle of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Carrington Friddle of Cave Springs, Arkansas and Faith Friddle of Bentonville, Arkansas and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Enterprise Freewill Baptist Church with interment at Island Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt and Carlos Friddle, John, Richard and Shawn Hobbs and Jonathon Corbell. Family visitation and viewing will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Mortuary Charleston, Arkansas.
